Nick, looking great so far. Just wondering, what does the Voyeger PE Set look like can you photo the fret for me just so I can preview it, was wondering what it has for S Mine launcher stuff. I have only one set of them and looking for another, as I plan to build the Wittman kit as is and would like to do S33 later on with the DML klts so if could help with a photo that would be great. Thanks. Keep it coming.

PE brass with rounded edges continues to elude me....

I did not form them myself. They come from DML Late Tiger lit, the one that is now OOP. They came preformed.
Thanks for looking and commenting

Very small update this evening. I began work on the engine hatch. It wasn’t that hard to construct, the only semi-difficult part were the door stoppers located under the grab handles. I also added lugs from Model Kasten’s Early Tiger I set.
Here are some pics of the Voyager set. I would have taken more close up shots of each fret, but I just came home from the beach and I am burned to a crisp!
Turned brass tubes for the smoke dischargers. The look nice!
Cables and cleaning rods. Also very nice!
Everything you get from the Voyager set. I paid $30.00 from AAA models on ebay
What’s next? The completion of the hull and who knows what else!
Thanks for looking and feel free to comment.

Aaaagh oh no!
How are those hatch legs supposed to work? You've trapped them under the handles!

I decided to slow down production on the hull until I receive Verlinden’s “Through the hatch” interior for the Tiger I. I hope it will come soon!
I fixed the problem with the rear engine hatch. Thanks again to David from Tiger1.info. Now, the legs are free and workable.
I modified the from plate (part P22) by added plastic strip and sanded it down. The next step for this piece is too texture it with Tamiya primer.
I started work on the drivers and radio operators hatches.
lastly, coming soon to another thread; my AFV Late Tiger I w/ an interior of the SS sPzAbt 101 2nd company that served in Normandy.
What’s next? The completion of the hull and who knows what else!

Nick:
Thanks for posting that photo of the Verlinden set, I've not seen it before.
I can spot a couple of errors already, for example the front right turret leg does not attach to the turret like that. Verlinden must not be reading my website.

Thanks James
Small update today.
I assembled all of the tanks hatches on their interior side. I plan on painting the interior and the interior side of the hatches interior off white.
The covers for the fans would not fit once the gas tank/fan/radiators assemble was glued in place. Therefore, for now, I will leave them off until I find a suitable solution.
Construction has slowed down a bit because I am still waiting for Verlinden’s “Through the hatch” interior for the Tiger I to arrive.

Nick:
Hatch interiors were usually painted with the outside base colour, so they would not stand out. Of course they were not subject to weathering or camouflage, so they ended up different anyway.
Do you want the loader's hatch open? Because that curved arm needs bending a little (like the real one) to make it engage with the lock. You can see the slight bending here.
