Hi everybody,
this should probably go more to the "Painting" section, but I expect lots of 3-tone camouflage specialists here ;o)

The thing is I would like to add some special technique to my 3-tone NATO camouflage, but in this case the usual ones like pre-shading, post-shading don't work very well. Of course drybrushing and washes will be used, but how to break the "one tone" appereance of the areas???

Please advise.

I always go back and do a heavy drybrush of the base colors of each area to give them variation and depth. The drybrushed color looks different than the airbrushed color, so it has some variation.

I did a video build of an M1A1 AIM in 3 tone NATO for another web site. You might want to check it out. The site is modelerchannel.com
