Hi Malcolm,
Nice work on the kit.
The Tasca is a mid production rather than an early M4A1. The early had the DV ports and M3 suspension.
Nice overall finish, the rope looks a bit white but that happens in pics and where you've added some mig dust to the boggies, it might be an idea to add some alternative colours to help break it up just a little.
Excellent stuff, looks the business and I like you're choice of finish and the general appearance of the vehicle.
Great work.
Al

I think it's a beaut !
I don't really like the extreme contrast though in color between the bogie's and the hull, perhaps darkening the dust on the running gear would blend them together better ?
I do love the faded camo though.

Hi DJ,
my weathering on this was very much by trail and error, using a mix of watered down ( with white spirit )mig pigments, and washes, and filters.
The final weathering will happen when its on a small dio base, then I can blend it into the ground work.
thanks for the comments,
malc.

I love your Sherman Malcolm !!
The dusty weathering effect you've achieved on the bogies is great.
Looks just like the colour photos I've seen of U.S. vehicles in Tunisia.
Is it going to be part of the Sherman Campaign ??
Cheers

Hi Malcom.
I’m definitely not a shermanholic and eventhough I’ve built a few of them, I generally find them quite boring. There is an occasional model that stands out for one reason or another .. and this is one of them. Often when looking at B&W images its almost impossible to distinguish between the different camo colours and they look like a monotone version because of the weathering .... and this you’ve captured perfectly. Its not that easy to reduce the contrast so much on a model and make it look this natural .... it can be seen but still needs a closer look. For this reason, your Sherman stands out IMO. Great job .... I guess the Tasca kit is well known for its quality ... but the paint and weathering is top notch.

Nice work malc, going to look even better once it's integrated into a base and has a "home".

Love how it looks now, and am really looking forward to seeing it blended in the dio base you're promising.

Another great Sherman Malcolm, you had better hide them from me on Saturday as I might give them a new home.
