Hello all

I am going to build the M7 Priest and was wondering what colour are the fire extinguishers? The instructions don't show any particular colour, but I have seen them painted red. Would thid be correct or should they be OD?

Depends. Different manufacturers had different colors, also different types were in different colors. The three most common were red, OD green, dark green, and unpainted brass. Either is correct.

I'm sure others will chime in and the great debate will be on though.

Gday Mate!
Usually equipment should have been removed from the vehicle during painting, but very often it was on it's place during the painting (especially when the crew was lazy enough not to care about removing all parts). In such cases equipment (including fire extinguishers, wooden parts of equipment etc) were painted in vehicle's colour.

Okay then, I think I'll leave them OD, since I hate painting red.

Thanks
