Hi guys,

I seem to recall myself from a daily search on the Axis DG that someday one of this group’s participants has mentioned a Sturmpanzer Brummbar (Sdkfz. 166) being a subject of SdAnh 116 trailer load towed by Sdkfz. 9 FAMO. Is this true? Did any photos of such operation exist and in what book or magazine (website) can I find photos of Sturmpanzer Brummbar towed on a trailer by FAMO?
I’m planning to do a Famo with trailer, the tractor converted to a late version with the help of Cromwell Models late Famo update set. However I have two main references on Famo (Nuts&Bolts title and “Military Machine” Famo book), the photos in those books don’t show any late Famo ( I don’t mean the crane version) towing a trailer. I know that some units had late Famos assigned to them (sPz Abt 506, sPzAbt 508 in Italy). Also on page 23 of my Nuts&Bolts Famo book there is a shot of very late Famo from Sturmpanzer Abt 216 in Italy’44. So I assume this vehicle served for Brummbar.
So guys, can anyone direct me to photos of late Famos (square fender) towing trailers, especially with Brummbar on flatbed? Due to the usage of late conversion on my model I will be forced to use any later versions of German armoured vehicles as a trailer load and in late stages of WWII, howewer I don’t know really if that rule is written in stone? Did late Famos also tow earlier versions of German vehicles?
Heeelp, please,

Regards,
Piotr

This should be fine. I don't recall seeing any pic of it, but the famo with trailer is definitely able to transport the Brummbar
