Hey guys, I just got my ERA kit for my Bradley I am working on. I notice that the ERA for the front deck does not quite match up like the real stuff. Any tips???
Also is there anyone who can produce a cargo hatch for an M3A2?

How egregious is the error with the ERA? Is it too thick? Thin? Blocks the wrong size or shape? Depending upon how bad it is, you could cover it with some stowage, let it go, or just scratch the offending portion(s) of it. I am curious-how did they handle the metal brackets underneath? Is there good detail too it?
As for the hatch, you happen to be in luck. I had a discussion with someone several `months ago to whom I supplied several photos, about how he might go about scrathing the hatch. I've decided to do it myself and about halfway finished with it. As with other pieces I've done, whether or not I cast one up depends upon the level of interest in it.
By the way, which kit are you using? I've read three different reviews on Academy's version, which I had delivered to me, and none of the reviews caught what` I consider to be several glaring errors in the rear plate/rear upper hull area.

The front glacis armor looks good to me. What's wrong w/it. Blast did a nice job w/the pieces that hold it off the front. They are molded very nicely and look the part.
I would be very interested in your hatch parts or any other upgrade parts. Let me know what you are working on.
As to the rear hull/deck inaccuracies, Academy didn't update or change those areas at all as far as I can see. The errors identified by Pawel in his correction article are still valid.

after looking a little closer I am not sure if its the kit or the am kit. I am building the Academy OIF M2A2, making it into an M3 though. The problem I ran into is that on the actual vehicle the blocks are directly online with the front deck lid, meaning there is no overhanging ERA blocks when the deck is lifted up. And with the kit there is about 1/3 of the block hanging over on the right side, facing the front of the vehicle, I think I will just go with making it look good and hope no one notices it.
If it were possible, in some way to get a copy of the cargo hatch from you that would be great, I dont have much to trade so I would have to pay you for your time and supplies.
So far I am happy with the Academy kit, even though it is not a true M2A2 ODS, I am making it work.

I'll start sort of a build log later this evening if time permits.
As for errors identified in Pawel's article, I haven't said anything about them, as I have not read his article.
I did read a few reviews to decide which was the better kit on which to base my conversion (Academy), and pretty much am doing the build based on my own determinations. Progress is slow as this project is not my top priority, but it's coming along all right. I'm still anxious to see how Jaques' excellent build is going as well. Haven't seen anything on it in a while.

How is your project coming along? After looking at my Bradley photos, it occered to me that there are two distinctly different frontal ERA arrays for the Bradley. Could that be the problem?

not really a big problem, most people that are going to look at it wont be able to tell the diffrence. I have had to shelve the model for now cause I am going through and advancement school. But it will be done soon and will be able to get back at it soon.
In my platoon's Bradleys we had during OIF V we had two sets with the larger ERA on the front and 1 with the smaller ERA.
