I was thinking that a VISMOD campaign would be cool. I also posted over on AEROSCALE to propose it there too.
Wikipedia describes VISMOD as
The term vismod is an abbreviation of the term visually modified, and is used by the elements of the United States Department of Defense to refer to any vehicle, aircraft, or other object that has been altered to simulate equipment used by an enemy for training purposes, often by specialized units referred to as the OpFor or opposing force. It is also sometimes used in film and television production to simulate real-world military equipment that is required for a scene in a television show or movie but cannot be procured due to financial or other complications.
The possibilities are making that T-34 in your stash into a Tiger from "Band of Brothers" or an M-113 into the OSV used at the National Training center, or just giving your M-47 an Iron cross like I think it was "The Battle of the Bulge". There are lots of options out there and they can be as simple as a paint job or some scratch building.
So if there is anyone interested, got other suggestions or ideas lets hear them.
