Last fall I bought the dml sherman w/ the 60lb rockets. I didn't realize at the time that it was a british tank and now I'm wanting to change it to an american tank. What all do I need to change on it to do that?

Hi.. I think most shermans were used as is by the brits with very few cosmetic changes... although some exterier stowage was changed....

The exception to this is the versions of the tanks that were fitted with the 15 pound gun such as the sherman Firefly.

here is a site with a explaination of the English nameing system for the shermans and what models they were..

If that kit is the M4A4, the only American combat users would have been in the China-Burma-India theater. The majority of them were exported.

Thanks for the link. According to it, the tank I have is a M4A4. Maybe I'll just keep it british so I can use it in Europe. I'm really going to have to get a book or do some internet research on shermans.

As have been said your model it's a M4A4 and most of them have been exported by the USA to their allies.

if you want links on the net here Sherman Tank you have a link to a topic with lot of them.

The links to Mike Canaday pages have info to correct some of the imprecisions of the DML kit.
