Hi folks.
I have a T-54A from Trumpeter plus a MPT3516-2 100mm D-10T Barrel from Model Point.
I need some suggestions in what theater I could build a diorama.
I thought about Afghanistan, but I am not quite sure if the model A was used over there neither which side, Russian, Kabul regime o militia.

I know some eastern European countries used as well.

I need suggestions.

Thanks and have a nice day.

Tough question...
But your choices are not too limited. As far as I know the major conflicts T-54 was used in were Six Day War (1967) and Yom Kippur War (1973) by Syria and Egypt. Actually, by 1973 Egypt had newer tanks. Also North Vietnam used them in Vietnam war. Soviet Union used them during the invasion of Hungary (1956). But by the time USSR went into Afghanistan, they had more modern tanks.
T-54A was produced by Soviet Union 'till 1957 only. But Czechoslovakia and China were manufacturing those untill late 60-s. China was probably selling them out like hot cakes. You might want to check India-Pakistan war and the war between Iran and Iraq. They were also used in Cambodian civil war.
Good luck with that! Try to do a little research.

Almost any middle East and African conflicts in the last 50 yrs are a good choice.

I build that trumpeter kit some time ago, also added a metal gun barrel, nice kit.
If I remember the markings were for Russian, Czech, NVA and Polish or DDR, not sure.

For an African conflict you can have tons of different camo painted over a dark green base.

Endless possibilities...

John and Alex,
Thank you for the rapid response and precious information.
If someone have any T-54A profile (any country or theater) would be very helpful.
Thanks again.

Jorge,
My company, Decalcomaniacs! makes unique markings for just what you need.

Pakistani AFV's
Postwar Finnish AFV's
Arab Armies #1
Arab Armies #2

These are water-slide markings. I hope that helps.

Thanks

Andy,
Just purchase them through the E-bay webstore. It's quick and easy. I accept paypal for international (non-US) buyers.
