I just got the new Tamiya Humvee today at about 13 USD, here are some pictures of what inside the box.

A flyer about the Humvee variants comes along with the kit

Oh well, I have it and it's great!

I hear things modeling are a little less expensive in Hong Kong.... I also paid $28 for mine from Squadron on a pre-order. I suspect that will be arriving shortly.

Hi Captain Octopus,
this really looks like another good kit from Tamiya. You say it cost you US$ 13, where did you get it from? I haven't seen it here in the UK but no change there I have the Academy version of this but it has no driver, so a Tamiya one and a cast of there driver may be a good bet. Let me know how it builds up.
Cheers for sharing the pictures, Kenny.

From the look of the leaflet may Tamya is getting the message. That making of modern equipment can be nealy as profitable as for the WW II lines.

STEVE!!! The Humvee is not available here yet although I'd suspect the price will be in the 13-15 USD range too. If it's made here then it will be cheaper. Can't wait to see you finish this one!

Guys,

I got the Tamiya Humvee just in one of the hobby shops and the price is 98-HKD (less than 13-USD). Don't forget that you have to pay together with the shipment and the tax as well, that's why you have to pay 28USD.
By the way, I have just started to build the kit this evening. The fitting is excellent!

I've got Hummers up the hummer, and of all the brands so far, I'd say the Academy one's are the best so far. Now comes the new Tamiya one, would it be possible for you or anyone else to compare the two of them, as far as crispness of molding, extra parts of accessories, etc. Well, for 13-15 bucks, I'll still probably get one anyways.

Last night, after reading the post from ent-mart, I decided (for personal curiosity) to compare the respective prices of the new Tamiya Humvee on various u.k/u.s. dealers and some of the on-line stores in Japan, HK and Korea.... It really makes you want to weep. The difference in price, even including postage, is so ridiculous it is sad. Obviously, the shops in Europe and the U.S.A, have to import from Japan, pay import duty etc. However, the little I know of import duty, I can't imagine it is that high. Or am I just being innocent? I think I'll set myself up as a wholesaler/importer if the margin is as high as it seems to be........ Jim (++)

can you guys find any on-line shipp offer with a lowest price?
I think ent-mart.com is already the cheapest seller on the net.
