What companies offer aftermarket decals for armor? I'm only familiar with aircraft (shame on me).
TIA...Kevin

Welcome aboard mac!
I know of a one who makes decals ( the ole wet em and stick em kind) Verlinden.
Archer makes the dry transfers for armor. If you're not familiar with them you can go here:
http://www.archertransfers.com/shop.html
Eduard also makes masks, which are like frisket stencles. Best for airbrushing the markings on.
Hope this helps.

Verlinden makes several dry transfers for vehicle. Unlike aircraft sheets which are for particular a/c, armor sheets are normally generic and a sheet may cover multiple vehicle types and from various nations (white US stars, Sherman tank markings, etc.).
Third Group out of Washington state also makes several German armor decal sheets. So does Scale Model Accessories, Ltd in the UK.

I'd have to say the same as Kencelot and Sabot. I always try not to use film decals. I have templates from Verlinden for German and U.S. armor that I airbrush onto the model. I will also use Verlinden and Archer Dry Transfers. A blunt pencil point, or burnisher is all you need for dry transfers. With dry transfers, I always use Solveset to make sure the transfer has no airbubbles as well as secure to the model. :-)

Marek,
I really like the Eduard sheets. Just take good care of them and they will last a very long time. Put them back on their carrier sheets when done.
I really regret not using them on the last model I did. I guess I forgot how terribly thick Tamiya's decals are, and a case of laziness on my part to take the time to use em. Oh well.
I think you will like em alot more than regular wet-n-stick decals. Just take your time when placing them to the model in regards to position. Spray lightly from a 90 degree angle to the mask. You don't have to fill the area in one spay. At least that's my experience.

Tamiya also makes several sheets of decals with A LOT of subjects, both Modern and WWII (Germand and Allied). These of course only feature tanks and AFVs that have been released by Tamiya as kits, but nonetheless they can be useful. Besides the national markings, they contain unit and tactical markings as well and even vehicles names.
