The Revell Jagdpanzer Kanone has been out in Europe for a while, and the reviews have been less than kind. Still, the replacement parts did hit the market in record time.

Well, they had an advantage, having already pretty much made the tracks for the M110. And to think I was on the verge of ordering the M110 set ...

That was fast. Good looking parts. However, the kit seems decent OOB according to what I have seen so far except the tracks.
Thanks for the heads up.

I know it has been available in Europe for awhile, but I hope the second someone sees it here in the states they'll give me a shout!

Hallo,
I have the kit. It is not soo bad IF you modify two heavy mistakes:
1. there are only 6 instead of correct 8 periscopes.
2. the track is terribly wrong. Compare to pictures.
You can use the track from Marder, but then you can only build a Belgian JpzKanone.
For the German version you would have to use the new track from Perfect Scale.
See there:

For an almost finished model see here:

Thanks for the link on the build Harold.
I already knew about the parts from Perfect Scale and I can't wait to get a couple in my hands.

Probably--the Revell 1/35th scale Mercedes Wolf field car is in stock at Great Models and a couple of other places, so I expect the Jagdpanzer Kanone will soon follow. If people are buying the Fuchs, Luchs, Wiesel, and Leopards 1 and 2, they'll buy this too.

Hallo,
1) it seems that I have been misunderstood in me reply above when I said:
"For an almost finished model see here:
http://f3.webmart.de/f.cfm?id=2078181&r=threadview&a=1&t=3366925 "
I'm sorry it is not my model but it is Johannes' [callsign hannesjo] who shows his build.
2) With some help I could find out meantime that the arrangement of the 8 periscopes around the commanders hatch is the same as with ALL Leopard 1except that the eighth peri of Leopard is in front of the ring whereas that of the JPzKanone is ON the ring like the others. The picture below (that is certainly a rare foto) shows the arrangement of Leopard:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/169232/message/1196470887/Here%27s+a+photo
You see, the correction will not be really difficult.
Besides, the picture is from Jim Carswell's Leopard C2A1 blog part 4, respond 'Here's a photo - Paul Fredenburg' .
The whole blog starts here:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/169232/message/1193629991/Leopard+C2%27A1%27+blog
I hope it helps when JPz Kanone has reached your tables.
Harald
