Very nice work, Animal. The one that parks next to the quad 50, is it a M113 hull welded on a truck?

Makes me wanna do a gun truck, dude....

Thanks for the kind words.
Dave, the M-113 APC hulls were attached by steel cable front and rear. The truck parked next to the Quad 50 is the first generation Maverick. It is an open gun box design with single plate armor. It was armed with one 50 cal two M-60's and on twin M-60. The second generation Maverick(truck in middle) was armed with to twin 60's and two XM134 miniguns. The final version had four mini guns and two twin 60's, plus a M-60 mounted in the cab for the driver. It was the most heavily armed Gun Truck in The war.

Nice, Animal!

My Old Man served at Cu Chi in 1969 with the 25th ID (Tropic Lightning!) DIVARTY. I'll have to show him these pics. I'm sure he'll have something to say.

Damn Animal: That is quite some collection. I might of donated it after I died but that is about the only way I wuld have given something like that up. I know how much work, care, and love you put into it. My platoon sergeant was in the Wolfhounds but I think he was there later like 69 - 70

The models have been donated and now we are looking for a way to get them shipped to the Museum. I may have to drive them up myself form florida where I live. Iam doing this as my way of saying thanks to all the crews who served on these trucks. Also I am trying help to preserve the history of these little known Vehicles.

Hey Bob pass on to your father Welcome Home Bro for me.

Steve, Welcome home to you also. Today is Armed Forces Day in The USA. Thanks for takeing up to call to duty..
