Hi at all,
i have seensome Interesting head sets from Historex in an Hobbyshop. The pictures are a little small so i canīt say anything about the Quality. How good is the Quality of that manufacture? I have some Hornet head sets and thea are the best in my opinion on the market. The ones from Historex are half that price but they looks very good to me. Are there any reviews or have someone here heads from them. What is your impression?
Greetings
Stefan

Historex make heads in plastic and resin, The resin ones are very good while the plastic ones in my experience are not very good.
AFAIK Historex only make heads in 54mm -1/32 scale and would be way over size for 1/35 scale figures.

The quality is very good and a varied selection of expressions and hairstyles. As Pat has said, they are on the large side of 1/32 scale. Could be used with Airfix Multi-pose figgys and maybe older ESCI 1/35 figs as they ran on the large side of that scale. Have also used them on some Acadamy figs with good results.
Cheers!

Historex makes so-called 54mm figures, which is a bit vague. Most manufacturers have elected to equate 54mm to 1/32nd scale, but that is not the case with the French company. If you examine Historex equipment kits, like artillery, you'll discover that the scale stated on the box is 1/30th, and their figures are apparently made to match. Historex heads are going to be rather too large to look right on a 1/35th scale figure (human bodies vary greatly in overall size, but the relative sizes of heads varies much less). Historex did have a very brief foray into styrene 1/35th scale German figure kits in the 1970's, and for many years, the infantry equipment parts developed for these figures was sold as an accessory set under Squadron's label in the US. However, they never followed up beyond those first few figures.

Might be possible to use them Miniart figures. Ive tried hornet, ultracast, Alpine and Legend heads on the last few Miniart figures Ive built, and they looked like peas on top of their very bulky shoulders.

Hi
I've never seen their heads but I know that in the Uk we have Historex Agents, which I'm not sure of the connection if one exists other than stocking Historex products amongst others.
Historex the main company , http://www.historex.com/ states on their home page "The reference scale of the range HISTOREX is the 1/30th is figurines of 54 mm." So as pointed out these are certainly too big for replacing on 1/35 scale figures. Probably okay for 1/32.
If you are looking for alternatives in 1/35 scale I'd suggest Hornet heads from Roger Saunders, funnily enough available from Historex Agents in the UK. These are probably the best detailed as regards headsets sold individually .
Hornet Heads
Others to consider are Legend and Warriors. Legend are available from Luckymodel.com Legend Productions
and in the UK you can get Warriors from Netmerchants.com VLS Warriors
Tank do replacement heads but these are based on the same scale as their figure range which comes up a little on the large side compared to other figures from say Dragon, Tristar, etc. In turn replacement heads from Hornet etc. on Tank Resin or Miniart Plastic figures (same sculptor) can look a little undersized.
Hope that helps.

I know this is a little late, but I sculpt the Hornet heads.
I also do 4 sets of 1:32 scale heads H3201, 02, 03 and 04, with more on the way. These might be a better bet for so called '54mm' models
The Hornet website is www.hornetandwolf.com. You can find at least some retail suppliers by clicking on the 'I' icon, then selecting 'stockists'. Alternatively, try googling the reference numbers to see if anything friendly comes up!
