Can someone please tell me, since I seem to be having a brain fart, is the turret storage compartment part of the turret assembly? Are they seperate?

If you mean the bin on the back, it seems to be separate.

Wolf:
I have just finished the Academy Panzer IV H/J. The bustle storage box is a separate assembly in this kit. It hooks on kinda goofy to the turret rear. Before I attached I thoroughly went through the directions and box art to make sure I was positioning (and attaching) properly. Good luck.

I think its kinda attached to rear of the turret. Theres a little gap between the two components.

The bin is separate.
Access is through the lid. They were added to Pz III and IV (and a different version to the Tiger) after experiences early in the war. They were nicknamed Rommelkeist I believe.

Hi Wolf...Yes it is separate from the turret itself...It was attached to the back of the turret using 2 L shaped brackets that were attached under the 2 lifting hooks(using the same bolts) at the back of the turret ...If you want I could try(I did say try)to send you some scans of how it is attached.
