I am thinking about possibly adding a stryker to my stash. Seems like there are 2 players in the market Trumpetr and AFV club. As both are similarly priced, is there one that stands higher than the other? I kind of liked the one with all the antennea on it....command or arty vehicle (?) I'm not looking at spending $100 for accessories or special versions and especially no resin monsters. Just an OOB

Get the AFV Club one. Esp. if the price is similar.
I built the Trumpeter version and its nice but they really botched the RWS. Its really crappy and simplified. I ended up replacing it with the one that AFV Club released as its own separate kit.
I even replaced the headlights with the ones that came in the AFV Club RWS kit. As it has clear lenses which the Trumpy didn't.
Hope this helps.

It's not even close. AFV Club. They have the ICV and the CV. The CV is a tad better since they fixed a shortcoming from the ICV kit (updated strut guards) and threw in a blue force tracker that the ICV did not have, and even a Duke anti IED device.

Hands down, the AFV Club kit. I bought both as soon as they came out, and once I opened the AFV kit, I had to build the Trumpeter first. I knew if I built the AFV first, I would never want to mess around with the Trumpeter. The detail is much crisper on the AFV club kit on things such as the bolt head detail that is everywhere on the kit. Also, being around them every day, I think the AFV Club is truer to scale and shape.

True, but not entirely. AFV Club is more accurate overall, but there are two dimensional errors present: the length (or width if you wish - the distance from one side of vehicle to other) of the nose slab is some 4mm too small and the overall width of the hull in widest spot is some 2mm too small. But the width of the roof plate is correct, so angled side walls are slightly too vertical.
What is very interesting is that these two mentioned dimentions are the only ones that Trumpeter did right! In Trumpeter kit nose slab and hull are correct width, but the roof plate is much too wide, so walls are even more vertical than in AFV Club kit! And the length of Trumpeter kit is wrong.
Generally AFV Club kit looks more "right" thanks to more slanted side walls (even if not slanted enough to be fully accurate).

Also the Trumpeter model is based off of the first Strykers to be issued to the US Army. There have been many upgrades to the exterior of the vehicle that Trumpeter has not upgraded on the model

But after you add all the bling bling and barbeque grill to the thing, you can't tell which kit is which. But out of the box, I'll agree to what everyone else said.

Well if that ain't a one sided vote I don't know what is. Plus, I think the kit is a tad cheaper than the Trumpeter kit. Thank you everyone, AFV Club it is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
