Getting into a WW2 Russian figure project and was wondering if anyone had any good paint mixes using model master enamels to represent the greener khaki version of their uniforms? thanks

Hi please do not get caught up in the colour of uniforms esp Russian , I have over 20 orignal WW2 and all are different shades of Khaki or Olive drab , From a light sandy khaki to a very dark OD . It all depends on the original dyes and useage , weather , washing , efects of the sun and rain etc, 99.9% of judges have never seen a original article so they are not best placed to judge . any shade will do cheers ian

I echo Sandy. I was reading an article about a re-enactor uniform store and they had a great article on American WWII uniforms. Basically it said even the new uniforms could be anywhere from almost white to solid od green to almost brown, depending on whether it was among the first, middle, or last of that particular batch. And remember, this is RUSSIAN workmanship we are talking about! My guess is that any uniform of any country in WWII can be a variety of shades!
