Very nicely done! Resin kit? The actuator rod on the right side looks a wee bent. Large mine perhaps?
Cheers

Keith-- tough kit to complete...well done! I have attempted to place the lane markers on the back correctly and failed. Can you take a shot of the rear of your vehicle so I can correct mine?
thanks

Looks Ace. Don't know how you can resist putting a little DC motor in there to get those buggers spinning. Wouldn't you love to see that?

Nice build. How will you be adding the "balls" at the end of the chains?

oop,s i,ll start again
Hi Keith
Another nice 79th armourd div vehicle, just one comment those chain,s look a little bit on the puny side ,would,nt last long on real machine .
can i give you tip for doing the ball weight,s on end chains =split shot fishing weight,s,piece of cotten looped through end of chain close weight gently spot of super glue, trim of cotten. That,s how i done mine when Resicast first brought thier,s out
R esicast sell a set of white metal chain,s separately if that,s of any use

Thanks for the replies Guys. Barry the chains are the ones with the convertion kit I too thought they looked a bit on the small side,Was going to try and attatch the balls to chain with verey fine copper wire but your way sounds a lot easier. A trip to the tackle shop on the cards Cheers.More progress shots soon when the mud an muck drys.

I scratchbuilt my flail about 15 years ago on an MB hull. I think I used 30 link per inch chain and it looked too small until I painted it. Your's looks to be about the same size chain, but because it is dangling in mid-air, it might make it look finer.
Here's a not-so-great shot of mine.

I wish I had though of the split-shot sinkers for end weights. I might have to go get some and add them.

Beautiful job. I am inspired to pull my conversion off the shelf andstart into it. Only thing I noticed are your fire extinguishers. Think they should be a green colour not red. An easy fix.

Keith,
Looks great with the lead "sinkers" and I like the muddy, dirty front end. Guess it would be that way until it triggered an AT mine lol.

very nice keith
i think the conversion is out of my league but you have done it justice.the only one thing it needs is a crewman in the turret for a sense of scale...
neil.
