I'm working on a model of this carrier using the Resicast deep wading set and have a couple of questions.

What colour should the Squadron diamond marking be. Also what other markings apart from the Star and the T number would it carry?

Does anyone have any idea of what the mount for the .50 cal would look like and how was it attached to the carrier?
Thanks in advance

Hi Pat,

Staffordshire Yeomanry were part of 27th Armoured Brigade, 2nd Senior Regiment. AOS White 52 on a Red back ground and the Sea Horse on the Blue Shield for 27th Armd.

2nd Senior Regiment would have had a Yellow Diamond for HQ Sqn.

Other markings woudl have included LST number probably on the front/side and may have had the Weight/Height/Length/Width markings also.

Thanks Alan, I got the same answer over on ML. I really should buckle down and learn the mysteries (to me at least) of British armour markings.
By the way have you seen this carrier build over on ML

Hi Pat,

Interestign scratch build. Great picture, there are some interesting pics from Italy . Good build on the Mk I, rather have the Resicast one though, not so much work lol, lol.

There were so many of these around that the possibilities are endless, when my skills get a bit better I'd like to try one of the Lloyd Carriers AA produced, the batttery charger one, a must for an armoured unit lol, lol, and I liked the towing version for the 6pdr.

Mind you I have the MG and 3" mtr version to build and would like to try to scratch build one of the ambulance carriers. I saw a great build on one recently. There are plenty of opportunities for the future that's for sure.

Enjoy the build, that's a good pic to work from and the New Wading Set is good to work with. Lots of things you can add in to which makes them fun.

Thanks for the link.

Al
