Since I entered the upcoming airborne campaign I have wanted to really get better at my figure painting. SInce I am 14 and I have not been modelling for very long, this is my fifth figure camo job. I really tried stepping it up on my darkening and highlighting also. Please tell me what you think, All Comments are welcome!!! The camo is Waffen-SS. ModelMaster and Tamiya Enamels and Acrlys.
Thanks for looking!!
thxs,
John

Nice John. For me shading and highlighting cam has always been the hard part. What reference are you using for the camo smock?

I'm new to the hobby so maybe my opinion doesn't have as much weight as most here, however I still want to say your figure looks outstanding. Great job!

Thank you everybody for your comments!! I am wanting to get better at the faces, thats my biggest struggle point right now.
Also Pat: I used Osprey's "Modelling WWII Figures" manual for the camo job, trying to copy it as best as possible.
thxs,
John

Frank dont be silly, everyones opinion is worth the same here.
so fire away with anything you want to say, some of us here are so immersed we struggle to see the bigger picture lol
Johnathon, with your faces the best thing is to take your time, remember to prime first, and use thin layers,
the eyes are tricky, but some off white and a dark colour and practice at a really steady hand and your sorted my man
