Hi,
I decided to go back to retro-modelling - where you make the accessories/upgrades yourself - using plasticard, sheet metal & anything that comes to hand....
Not totally mad - when you add up the cost of kits/add-ons in these days of "credit crunch" plus I have been getting less & less fun from just adding pre-bought items.
What are the current sizes of tow cable on modern US afv's - diameter / length - for Abrams, Bradley , LAV, Stryker , M113 etc. ?
Are these multi strand cables like WW2 stuff ??
From pics the Abrams looks like a multi-strand probably around 30mm ??
I have lost in a computer failure most of my references ( don't rely on backup drives - they can get infected as well & you stand a chance of losing eveything ) & am generally really out of touch with Modern Western Armour & need help...Please !!
Just point me in right direction - I have tried Google but get nothing on real vehicles - what terminology should I use ??
Same also for Aerials / Radio masts
If it works - I may make some extra for ebay to provide a cost effect option & help fund some of my wilder examples of modelling madness !!!!
Thanks,
Prof, Moriarty
