Just got a set of Atak Zimmerit sheets in the mail today for Dragon's Panther A (late) AFV. Looks pretty good too. These sheets are really thin. I think they may even be just a tad thinner that the Zimmerit sheets from Cavalier. It consists of three separate sheets plus some resin parts for the gun mantle, storage boxes, which are unfortunately closed, tow cable ends. Plus the tow cables themselves and a smaller cable too.
Picked it up from Great Models for $25, which is about $5 higher than the Cavalier stuff.
Be a while before I have the time to try it, as between baby sitting my grand-daughter and trying to keep the 'honey do' list down to sizable proportions around the house it keep me from sniffing glue and paint except maybe a little in the evenings and maybe, just maybe, on the week ends, if I'm lucky and it's raining!
But I must say that I am well pleased with this little add-on from Poland and think it will be an okay item to add to Dragon's model.
Take care. sgirty :-)

I just received a similar set for the Academy Tiger Mid Production... now the PE and barrel, and I can start... That was indeed the first thing I noticed... These sheets are indeed really really thin. And also two resin pieces to replace the gun mantle and the escape hatch....
I am lookng more and more forward to building this tank...

Are the pieces pre-shaped like the Cavalier ones? I've got a set of those for one of my K. Tigers and with the metal barrel got all I need. Just cuious as I am always looking for better ways to do zimmerit. Have done it with putty, resin kits, and in future cavalier. Look forward to your after action report on this one

My mistake. The Zimmerit kit I got is for the Panther Ausf. A (early). Either they sent me the wrong one or I ordered the wrong one. Guess I'll just have to buy another Panther kit. Ha. ha!
But yes, the pieces are molded separately on these sheets, just like the Cavalier ones. There are 21 pieces, including sections for the front fenders and also two sections for the area underneath the sides, above the suspension, which I think is kind of neat. Not sure at the moment if this area was ever filled in with the Zimmerit coating or not, but it looks too good to pass up putting there. And there are also about 9 seperate resin parts as well, plus tow cables, and the track changing cable too.
Not bad I'd say. Don't think you would go wrong by getting a set. Just be sure you get the correct one. Ha, ha! Such is life.
I see by the Great Models Web store site that they have the Ausf. A (late) in two patterns, although they do not show any pictures of what they are, for $22.50.
But it did take about two months for them to get this one in.
So I guess I'l be making a call the first of the week and getting the correct one. Need some intake vent mesh screens anyway.
Take care, sgirty :-)

Atak is real nice. You should see their King Tiger ones, it comes with complete turret, a bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it. I think I will do the King Tiger Porsche with the Atak once I finished the Tauchpanzer

I'm using the Atak zimmerit for the Porsche King Tiger an it is indeed very good. I had a heck of a time drilling a new whole in the mantlet for a metal barrel to fit, but eventually got everything working all right. When I finish with the Royal Model PE I will post some pics.

PS -- I ordered mine from The Barrel Store and I received them (along with $200 worth of others stuff) just a couple days later.
