OK, I just bought the Academy M2A2 kit #13205, and now I see it was a big mistake! I did not know it did not come without an interior! Can anyone tell me if there is a detail kit available that I could use in order to produce one with an interior, or am I just stuck? And also what PE kits and accesory sets are out there that will work for the Academy #13205. Thank you for your help guys!!!!! TREY

Hi Trey,
I'm not 100% sure if it'll fit or be up to date but one of the tamiya Bradley comes with an interior. I was building it into the newer Tamiya OIF Bradley and had no problems with fit but not sure if it's accurate for that time period but it does for me. Unfortunately it's still back at my parents in Scotland. Hope this helps you some,
Kenny.

As far as I know, there's no after market interior kit for the Bradley. As mentioned above, you can use the interior from the original Tamiya M2 Bradley kit, or as a cheaper option, the interior from the academy M2 kit, which is a clone of the Tamiya.

Note that neither kit provides the turret interior and that the individual seating provided is correct for early M2A2's but is incorrect for later (new build) M2A2's which have bench seating

EDIT: Eduard have PE sets for the interior/exterior/turret interior for the original Tamiya kit.
Voyager have a PE set for the Tamiya M2A2, Armorscale and Barrel Depot have barrels to suit. Armorscale's barrel is unfluted, Barrel Depot make both fluted and unfluted versions.

AFV CLub have a "Bigfoot" track set - this is recommended as the Academy kit contains the older style track, which is inaccurate for later M2A2's, and even more so because Academy moulded the track pads reversed (ie rotated 180 degrees) on the track shoes.

Yes, as stated above, the original Tamiya M2 and the Academy M2 (which is a copy of Tamiya's) have interiors. None of the M2A2's have interiors. Phil has given you a good rundown of the extras for it and options for the interior. Real Model also does a nice enginee/transmission insert for it too. Blast and Verlinden also have ERA blocks for it too. Blasts version is much better though.

The Academy M2A2 is still a very good kit of a late model, new build M2A2. It needs a little work to be totally accurate, but is a great base to start with.

Also check out Pavels Accurizing and Detail Article for great fixes nd detail additions.

I removed the interior from one of my old Tamiya kits and used it with the Academy M2A2 and the fit was just fine.
Depending on how much you will be able to see, some updates may be required.
There's a really nice example on "dynamicdioramas".

The Tamiya M2A2 an excellent start.
Gino did a great job with the interior rebuild .

There is a lot of work to change the interior around .

I took the short cut and stuck with detailing the outside and drivers compartment .
Pavel's web page had very valuable info to redo a correct M2A2.
I robbed the drivers compartment out of an old m2 to do mine

Yes it is as well. They are about the same quality, Academy's is a little more complete on the ODS upgrades. They represent slightly different vehicles though.

Tamiya's represents an older M2A2 that has been through a rebuild and received some of the ODS upgrades. It would most likely have the individual seating still, but could have the bench seats as well.

Academy's represents a new build M2A2 ODS vehicle with most of the ODS upgrades. The Academy one should have the new interior layout with bench seats running along the sides like an M113. As stated above though, it needs new, square block tracks to be accurate.

Both are from about the '03 to '04 timeframe.
