I know it's a broad question, but I'm sure there are some real experts out there who can give me a quick answer:
After doing a few WWII German pieces, I'd like to try my hand at some Russian WWII armor. I understand most Soviet armor was painted with one color: green (variable quality and shade during the war). Other than some Russian armor green, are there other uniquely Russian paint colors I'm likely to need? For instance, some specific interior shade? Thanks very much.

Hi,
I know it is usual for people to say the colour varied but there was a standard green from my research. I also know variations existed with a dark brown being applied as a disruptive camouflage but not often it seems. This plus the winter white seems the most normal variety you will find.
If you use Tamiya paints e-mail me at [email protected] and i will let you have the formula I use on my 1:8 T34-85. Not mine, I got it from someone else.
I have been inside 3 WW2 vintage T34-85 and they were all painted in white, shiny at that. One is suspect but the other 2 were it seemed original. The SU 76 at Bovington is green both inside and out and that is original paint, no doubt. It also is a very good match considering the age of the vehicle for the Tamiya formula.
Hope this helps.
