im looking for the material that csago used for the walls on his vietnamese hut . Tried a google search for chinese bazzars but no luck.

Hi Keenan,
If I remember correctly Csago used a grass mat.Not sure if it'll help you where you are but you are more likely to bump into one in an Asian shop selling household items or hardware then a Chinese shop. A Thai shop comes to mind.
Here's another stretch, if by the super odd chance there are coconut trees (yeah I know its Oklahoma ) perhaps in someone's greenhouse or park, at the base of the stalks there is a mesh like material that is a close substitute to the grass mat.
Both huts below are 1/72nd and as you can see the material used would fit 1/35th better. The larger one on the left uses the coconut mesh material for the walls as well as the roof and the smaller one on the left has a thatch roof made from the a coconut fibre mini-broom/brush. You may be able to get the coconut fibre broom at Walmart.

I remember one person using a dinner place mat of bamboo/grass they got from Michaels or AC Moore.
