Nice clean build and primer, bummer about the AB. I'm looking forward to seeing how the salt technique works out. What paint/markings are you planning on?

Thanks for your feedback. Basic dark yellow base with dark grean and brown cammo. Might even try to apply a light white wash.

Nice build.
My only comment is those are mighty big salt crystals.

It's an experiment..want to try out the chipping technique by using sea salt. If it fails, I can always paint over it!!

Excellent build and primer job. Good luck with repairing the AB, looking forward to your finish...as well as your sea salt technique!

Finally had time to revisit my build and apply paint and camo. Has some problems with the salt-chip technique so I painted over it and will weather by hand. Next step is to apply coat of Future, add decals and start weathering. Question: what is the appropriate color for the 88mm shells?

Thanks for Watching!

This is DML's Nashorn kit# 6314. I'm think of building my first diorama with it ( I saw a kit with officers playing cards on top of jerry cans and thought along with stowage it would fit nicely with the kit).

Nice paint and camo job, looks good. Glad your A/B problem was resolved.
Always amazes me at the folks who leave the tracks on when painting...haven't been able to figure that one out yet.

Do believe your gold/brass color on the 88 shells works. Have seen others painted like that, but don't quote me.

Thanks for sharing your work.

Looks to be a nice kit. Always been curious about this vehicle, think I'll pick one up at the show in Mckean, Pa this weekend. Thanks for the info. Yours has come along very nicely. milvehfan

Very nice job---how are you going to paint the track given that the hull is covering the top layer?
thanks

For the tracks, I make sure that one link is not glued together. Thus, I'm able to detach it and paint it separately.

chicane, thanks for the feedback. Instead of a combat setting, I was thinking of a more leisure one. I saw a kit that includes several german tank officers playing a game of cards and sitting on fuel cans, along with some stowage it should create a good setting.
