Hi all....I need...for some works of different Humvee these info:
1) Rhino anti IED can be used on a 1025 base Humvee or 1026(it's
1025+ask kit). Any photos of this combinations?!
2) Can Dumvee mount Rhino?!Pics?!?
3)UN Humvee(Referring to all white Humvee) can mount the standard gunner
shields?!
4)I've photos of different modified Humvee....my question is:
Are there precise and "standard" ways to modified them?!or is it a "personal"
troops idea?!(so they modified them in order to duty, situations ect)
TIA
Happy Holiday to All
Ciro

Some answers:
1) No, the Rhino is a heat activated anti-IED device. It has only been in use for about a year or so. Since its use, only up-armored M1114 and M1151 HMMWVs have been outside the wire in Iraq.
2) Again, No. The SF HMMWV (called a DUMVEE for Desert hUMVEE by model companies only) was only used in the initial phases in Iraq. SF also uses up-armored HMMWVs now as well.
3) No reason they can't have the shields too. There haven't been a lot of UN actions where US HMMWVs are painted white though. The US does not normally paint its vehicles white for UN operations. Most white UN HMMWVs are from other countries.
4) Yes and no. It depends on the time frame, place, unit, etc. There are standard kits now, but initially, the armor was added by the units themselves, before kits became available. There are quite a few different armor kits in the system now as well and many versions on different HMMWVs running around Iraq.
Your best bet is to find a picture you like and try to replicate it.
