Looking promising. I like seeing Vietnam dioramas.
Some suggestions, if you prime the groundwork and then paint/airbrush it, it generally blends in a lot better. At the moment it is a touch out of scale (kinda looks like you have just taken the dirt from the garden...). The figures look good and the anti tank obstacles are a nice addition.
Are you planning on doing some jungle vegetation, or is it a cleared area? As you can see from those photos, most of the bunkers were in heavy jungle.
Make sure you don't leave any open areas on the diorama (called dead space) where nothing is happening.
Keep it up,
Chas

Looking good Martyn, your groundwork looks very good, id fill it up with a bit more jungle litter though, some leaves and such on the ground. You could also consider adding some kind of booby trap as a little point of interest.
Good to see more young guys on the site! I feel old now and im only 20 haha, still got some of my projects from when i was 16, not as good as this!

its photo time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yaaay!
the bunker is still being built im adding the walls and making the "window" out of logs once complete it will be cammed so it will look like a bunker!
ok heres a small booby trap that has been uncovered by a grunt but the grunt did not survived so i made a makeshift war grave!

Your idea is nice. The dio also looks nice.
Three things:
1. The soldiers are just there, so I don't think the Grunt would be burried allready.
2. When the soldier dies and the boobytrap is uncovered it will be removed.
3. A US war grave during the Nam war mostly was a stick with his helmet on it and his rifle next to it.

hey martyn
i noticed the tree stump are bit to clean for being in an area just shelled if thats your idea?
you need to rough up the top of the tree stump to make it look like shrapnel ripped through itl... that would give a splintered look on top
but the booby trap looks gud tho mayb make another so its not alone but a different kind and abit bigger maybe
hope to see more

We always evacuated both our wounded and our dead when we could get to them. If the area was secure enough to dig a grave, it was secure enough to bring in a dust off bird......so the wounded and the dead got a ride out of the area. I am sure there may have been graves dug over the course of the decade or so that we fought there, but I don't know of any examples.
If a guy bought the farm, we put him in a body bag and sent him home for proper burial.
