Just wanted to share with everyone who's been watching Charlie Fox progress (Splash dio).
I poured 4 layers of casting resin as my water and as you can see from the photos there are seams .
I didn't have time to test anything about getting rid of them before the Splash deadline so there they will be for judging Anywho.
Here's what works to polish and get rid of any 'bad spots'

  • 1-Take a dremel tool and gently grind down any big rough spots.
  • 2 - Then take some fine grain sandpaper and smooth it out some more and get it pretty consistant.
  • 3 - Then take one of the polishing/buffing tools for a dremel (the white felt deals). Add a touch of polishing paste. I used aluminum polish paste. The buff away.

It works wonders - comes out really well.

Great tip. Anther thing one might try instead of using the polishing/buffing tool is to apply a couple of layers of Future floor wax. I did that in my SPLASH dio. I had a couple of flat (as in not shiny) spots and Future brought them back to a crystal clear shine.
