Hi,
Just a quick question; I am working on the Tamiya M4A3 sherman 75mm kit and need to do a quick whip 'round for some advice. I need to add a device to each side of the turret to hang equipment like bags and helmets. I am MILDLY type A so just gluing them to the turret won't work for me. Any techniques to share? Should it be a bar or a wire?
Thanks!
Andy

I drill holes into the side of the turret and bend brass wire to the proper length. With a decent amount of the wire sticking into the interior of the turret there is no way it will fall off, like it would if it was just glued on. If you are going to put straps around it having it be secure is important.

The method David explained it the easiest. I use .020 brass rod. Another easy way if you are do not have the rod handy is to cut a length of plastic rod or thin square (.020) and glue both ends down, with the center bowed up a little so the straps could fit under.
The strongest method is the first one.

Andy: Some good tweaks for the Tamiya kit can be found here:
