hello what colour would these have been painted, this if for my portee project
i have heard of middle stone but im not sure what shade it is,
tamiya references would be golden

The proper colour would be BSC.61 Light Stone. Unfortunately, there's no direct Tamiya equivalent. White Ensign Models makes a good match for this, but it's an enamel paint, not an acrylic. There is a Humbrol mix recipe on the MAFVA web site, in the References section.

Light Stone is a pale sand yellow colour, so you can probably do a reasonable job of mixing it yourself.
