I think it's a M5 Command Tank, M5 with turret replaced by small superstructure with a .50 cal. machine gun.

But it don't have a superstructure and hatches like this one :


So maybe a T8


Or an English Recce repainted in US Color

It is a M5 turretless command/recon tank. A few were converted by the US in the field. The owner might be basing it off the T8 or one of the field conversion. This type of conversion was much more common in the British units.

Moving down:

The vehicle in the top picture was coverted from an M8 GMC, which was based on the M5 chassis. It is used by the commandering general of a Armored Division, hence the star.
