Anyone out there know a good source where I can purchase Tank figures? http://www.tank-model.ru/ The only place I found so far is Hobby Easy in Asia.
Thanks,
Erik

Colorado Miniatures has them the link is below. I have one of their sets, the dead German tank crew. To be honest they are marginal at best. The Verlinden and Dragon figures are better.

Hello Erik,
I have to agree with David.
There's been much hype and hullaballoo about Tank figures - but really, there are far better options out there.
I bought a Tank figures set (one of the Kharkov Panzer Grenadier figure pairs) and I was somewhat disappointed, considering that they weren't exactly cheap.
The moulding isn't especially crisp in places, and the resin seems to be very brittle (at least on the set that I bought).
Of course, you're free to try them for yourself and form your own impressions. But I for one won't be in any rush to buy any more, and I wouldn't recommend them to others.

Having sold these at my shop, I can say that the figures are alright. To me it seems that their later figures aren't as good as some of their earlier ones.
Personally I am getting out of the TAHK line, as the last batch I ordered from them, I got just so-so customer service, and the fact that they cost me about $250 in sales.
Their head sets, and accessory sets are pretty good though. No they aren't Hornet heads, but they are a close second, and have a good variety, and decent prices.
However, as I said, I am going to be dropping them from my shop once the last of their product is sold. Between the lack of customer service, plus the fact that I can't pay for the items using either my credit card or Paypal, that I have to go and do a bank transfer, it is just too much hassle for too little return.
When there are new and upcoming figure companies right in the US like Helo Miniatures and New World Miniatures, no they don't have the selection as of yet, but they will in time. And their figure castings are alot better. Also I see now that NWM are going to be coming out with a coupled of head sets as well, hopefully they will continue in that line, and offer more head sets down the road.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I appreciate it. I'm building a small diorama set in Chechnya in the winter of 2000 so I think Tank is my only option, unless there is something out there I'm missing.

Hi guys
im a big modern armour fan and i rate the modern russians from tahk and model club very high, the sculpting seems very similar, same sculptor ? i have not seen the wwll stuff yet so will withhold opinion.
It seems to me a lot of resin figure companys get of to a good start, build up a good rep
and its not long until it all slides.i used to swear by warriors then i bought a figure that was so miss-aligned nothing could be done with it,and i thought resin casting was the dogs b####ks

Well they are all shown with weapons so I suppose they do, The Young partisan I bought actually came with a choice of two weapons. You can always email Hobbyeasy to make sure.

I got the whole Masterclub collection of modern Russians, and YES they do come with the weapons shown in the pics. Also, the figures are very good, in my opinion. Very good detail and very clean casting. And the shipping for all 8 figures, from hobbyeasy, was something like $6 to Egypt, and that is a real bargain.

Thanks for the input guys. My plan is to use figures from both Tank and Masterclub in a diorama that will be titled "Hurry Up and Wait". It will feature a BMP-2 with two crew members onboard and one standing (Tank), three infantry seated on top (Masterclub) and three infantry standing with the crew member next to the BMP (Tank). I usually build in 1/72 or 1/48 scale, but had such a fun time and good results painting a Warriors 1/48 scale tank crew that I thought giving a 1/35 scale subject that was heavy with figures a try would be fun.

I'm surprised at some of the negative comments about the quality of the TANK 1/35 range from other modellers. I have just bought their 3 man " Modern Russian Tankers in Summer Uniforms" tank crew set and some standing modern Russian figures to compliment a T-80 in a dio. They are the first I have ever ordered and I think the anatomy, details and castings are excellent.
Not seen any of their WW2 figure range so I cannot comment on those.
I also got a resin 1/35 DSKH A/A resin gun to replace the (poor) kit item and that was also stunning.
Perhaps try and have a look in the box before you decide to buy then decide.

I have all the modern Tank, MasterClub and Rest Models figures and would definitely rate Tank the best, Masterclub second and Rest third in terms of detail and subtlety.
I'm surprised at the criticism of Tank, to be honest - personally I think they're among the best resin figures around. Hornet heads - am I the only one who thinks that they look humanoid rather than human?
