Does anyone know if there are any 1/35 models of this tank? All I've seen are 1/72.

I've looked too and haven't come up with anything in 1:35 scale. However, and maybe the experts could correct me if I'm wrong, but if you really need a T3 Christie in 1:35 you might be able to heavily modify a Russian BT series tank, I believe the suspension is very similar as is the superstructure on some models.

That's a good point, I just happen to have a BT-7A I bought last week from the LHS. I've been doing research on the early Soviet tanks and maybe I could dig up something.

Guys,
MB models did a conversion for the Zvezda BT-5 a while ago. It pops up on Ebay every now and again and goes for reasonable prices. I did some decals for it when I built mine a couple of years ago. Hope that helps.
Regards,
Georg

The Zvezda BT-5 is the best starting point for a conversion, as the pitch of the track links and the configuration of the drive wheel was changed on the BT-7. There used to be a resin conversion, but I haven't seen it since the mid 90's.

Commanders did a 1/35 scale T3 conversion for the Zvezda/Italeri BT-5 kit. I've got one sitting on the shelf that I plan to get to one day.

Lucky guy! I was going through my old model magazines and I found an issue of Military Modeler (Jan. 1992) that has plans and an article about building a Christie T3. I might take a whack at it.

Hi Guys,
As for references, the Hunnicutt Stuart book has a bunch of good pictures. Drop me a line if you need the pics.

Georg
