Hello,

I am new to these forums and this is my first post. I am looking for information on Ronald Volstad. I collect his model box art, especially the figures in 1/35th. I have always considered his art to be the some of the best I've ever seen, and have wanted to learn more about his approach to figure drawing and painting. I cannot find a lot about him online. It would be great to find out how he works, methods he uses in beginning one of his peices. I myself have studied art technique for a long time, but much of what I do is self-taught. I am really seeking out a group of professionals as well to assist me in getting closer to my goals.

If anyone has any knowledge of Mr. Volstad, and his approach to illustration, or perhaps even a way of contacting him, I would appreciate it.

I also hope that I have posted this in the correct section of the forums. I assume that most military modellers, and especially ones who have worked with figures, are familiar with Mr. Volstad's work. I should also mention I have collected many of the Osprey Books that feature his color plates as well.

If you can help, please let me know.

Mr. Volstad,

I am an Art teacher here in Alberta. Red Deer, actually. I hope you won't mind if I make use of this email as well.
