Hello everybody,
I am going to put the Satcom X-wing antenna on my 1/35 Command LAV. From those few pictures I have seen it is obvious, that it is being carried by this type of vehicle, but I am not sure where the wiring should lead when the antenna is being hooked on the room ???
Will it go inside the vehicle through one of the hatches on the roof or is there any special plug?
Thanks for any reply.
Jiri

I have a few images of the X wing antenna mounted on ASLAV's, they are hard to find. In these pictures you'll see two different ways these are mounted either directly on the AMU (nomenclature unsure) or in an outrigger fashion
which I chose to use on my model.
I have only one picture of the wiring from or to the X wing (see red arrow.
I thought that the AMU's were capped places to attach antenna and the wiring would then run directly into the rear cabin and attached to receivers and transmitters. But in this picture the wires come out from the AMU and then out and into a hole in the Commanders Cupola just behind the rear left vision glass. I have never seen a hole there in any other picture so this may well be a one off jury rig, dunno?
I hope this is of some help to you.
Regards
Bill
