KV 2 turret marking

Hi I came across this marking of sors on the rear face of a KV 2 turret any ideas as to origin , copy right to unknown german soldier cheers ian

What a great photo, no idea what it represents, but I guess part of the marking is obscured by the raised hatch?

Hello there!
The vertical diamond with solid outline USUALY ment armored brigade, but usualy just an outline, not a solid diamond...
I can try to find out if you are really interested.

Actually, all one had to do is to go to the site, where Volker got additional photos of this tank. And it was saying right there: "7-th mechanized corps".
