Hello. Just wanted to show a very chep dio, except for the models of course. Spices for leafs and grass, catsand and real brick. Peanuts and icecream sticks for fence and corkboard for cobblestone. I'm not a very good builder but the important thing for me is to have fun with this wonderful hobby.

As long as you had fun, got some building experience under your belt it's growth and enjoyment. Is it perfect, no, you know that, that wasn't your goal.
A couple of simple pointers for you that won't cost a dime next time.
As mentioned, composition is a key element in a diorama, where are things placed, how are things placed, do they make sense.
If you put a slight angle on your diorama lines, so things are 90 degress, or all straight gives a bit more visual interest.
When you place things ask yourself "how did this get here? did the crew move it, drive it, push it, bomb it, drop it??" Then you ask "does that make sense?" Adjust accordingly.
Keep having fun.

Hi mate,
im not an experienced modeller , not even a diorama builder ...., but i can say that i like your job. At least you have put on it a lot of " yourself" .
The only thing , if i can give a little advice.., its the white of the uniforms , i think its a bit too white...if you know what i mean.....meaby a bit of mud and dirty would lower the full white effect.
Ciao

Hi Jan,
Nice dio. I like the way you made your fence with everyday material. I respect that a lot. There is a lot more honour to do it yourself rather than spend loads of money for the same thing.
Just one comment, you may use the building in the wrong sense, as the wall on the picture seem to be the interior of the house.
Ah, and you could be proud to achiee such a large dio, few of us can achieve such project.
best,
Julien

Thanks guys, it was exactly that response I was hoping for. And yes, it's the back of a Miniart building, the front is used for another dio. One house became two, only to save money, voila!

Jan -
I think you did a pretty good job with this, and picked up some pointers from the group here. You've accomplished a personal milestone, and had fun doing it, which is the ultimate "bottom line". Thanks for sharing your work!
