Hi there,

Has anyone seen the re-released Italeri StuG IV kit (#6223)? Any comments about the quality of the kit, is is accurate, or rather another copy of that ancient Tamiya StuG IV early kit? Is this possible that this Italeri kit may be a re-box of a DML StuG IV early? Has anyone already built this kit, any comments about assembly. I’m considering purchasing this kit maybe, so I need your opinions, please.

Thanks,
Piotr

I asked the same question at the Blast Models shop and they told me it was the OOOOOLLLLLLDDDDDDDD italeri kit, and not a reboxed DML kit .

hi , it is a re issue of the original kit and still holds its own with the best out today , I sold an original one at a model show two weeks ago , and the buyer was over the moon , he is german freak and still considers it to be on of italeri 's best along with the PZ IV series . . tamiya and dragon are not as good in many areas . cheers ian :-)

I bought one at a show for $12 dollars and am using it to try some new weathering tricks on it. The back plate for the hull has 7-9 knock out pin marks on it, some I didn't bother filling due to the fact it would be a pain to smooth them because of the position of them. Find a Panzer IV hull from another kit plus some new tracks, the supplied ones are molded in silver vinyl with knock out pin marks on the track pads (again in hard to reach places.)
