I did an extensive research project on the T26E4 "Super Pershing" and commenced with the build in 03. I finished it in 06 and blogged my project on another site:

http://www.track-link.net/blogs/17

Although I had the AccArmour kit, I made extensive replacements. In the end, I only used the barrel and decals from AA.

As far as pictures, I believe Steve Zaloga's build up article is accessible from the MilMod webpage. There are pics associated with the T26E4 there.

It was painted olive drab and black. My full gallery of pics is here: http://s45.photobucket.com/albums/f74/ericadeane/?

Feel free to contact me offsite for more questions [email protected]

Neil, here is a link to Steve's article;
Super Pershing

I used the AA kit a few years back to build the SP and it is a joy to build. The Tamiya kit of course goes together like a breeze, and the AA parts are well done. The only area where I had a little trouble was fitting the extra armor plating on to the front glacis. Take your time, and test fit everything to make sure you have it right. Roy also was a big help to me with my build so be sure to check out his blog. There are a few pics of my build in my gallery here if you're interested. The finished product is on the first page and in progress pics on the second.

Good luck,
Mike

Thnx for the link Mike. If you see in the Milmod article, you can pull up more pics by putting your cursor over "pic 5" etc.

Neil,

Thank YOU for asking these questions. I have the same set up to build in the future.

Roy, Mike, thanks for the links! I've already bookmarked them.

Im wanting to build this kit as well the only problem im having is where to find it,

Direct from the source here: http://www.accurate-armour.com/ShowProduct.cfm?manufacturer=0&category=5&subcategory=38&product=1165
Or if you'd prefer to keep things within the US, here: http://www.missionmodels.com/product.php?productid=16343&cat=254&page=2
Both offer excellent service, though I will say I've never had any problems when ordering from AA, and you know it will be in stock .
