Looks very nice, Ed. Nice job on the camouflage.

I can see you already have another King Tiger in the making. Are you building a whole company?

Thanks for sharing

hi jesper, i've gotten hooked on the german tanks lately so i got myself 2 KT dragon kits..it was quite a challenge building it specially the individual tracks. the tamiya kit was basic when it comes to building. the elastic tracks make the difference. easy to install and has sharp details too. i think i'm ready for the dragon..can't wait to finish them all. thanks for the kind words. ed

A very smart build,
I'm especially impressed if its one of your first goes at German armour.

Keep it up, i'd be interested to see how you pogress with the more detailled dragon kits.

Hey Ed,
Very nicely done!!
You don't see too many clean builds here on Armorama, you'll probably get a few of the guys telling you that it needs more weathering.
To each is own I say.
Well done !!
Cheers

A really good KT. The finish has an atmospheric quality to it. I can imagine it lurking in a tree line somewhere. Top one!

Looks good! I did this kit a couple months ago. The only thing I have against it are some nit picking accuracy problems. Great tank!

Nice job, Ed. I like the subtle weathering. Keep up the good work.

Do you mind telling what colors you used to paint it as well as outlining your weathering process? That is exactly the effect I want to achieve on my KT.

Thanks,
Samuel

hi samuel,..hi everyone, thanks for your kind words. i just followed the colors on the instruction sheet. i used tamiya acrylic paints. i sprayed it dark yellow all over. i freehand spray painted the pattern of flat brown and dark green. distance between the tank and the airbrush depends on how soft you like the edges of the pattern. the spots were handpainted alternately..with the arrangement of dark yellow, flat brown and green respectively. i used thin paint brush. the subtle weathering was done with tamiya weathering 'make-up' kit. they come in handy fixing and weathering paint jobs. thanks again for the kind words and comments. ed
