Hi, this is my first post on Armorama, and also the first time that I have used PE and white metal tracks in a build. I hope you enjoy and any comments are more than welcome.

The tank looks fairly good, but it hard to tell since the pictures look underexposed. The skirts on the right side look unevenly applied. Maybe this is supposed to be damage, but some indiation a bending back from the body might be in order.

Phil -

Thanks for posting your work. Great bunch of folks here, lots of information to pass with regards to tips/techniques and various history of all kinds of things...wish I could spend more time on the sight, but duty calls!

Nice Tiger, I like the camo netting on the barrel, and your color looks okay as well. Are your side skirts PE? May explain some of the mis-alignment, working with CA can be difficult. Keep at it, and guarantee your skills will improve by reading all the things here.

Welcome to Armorama!

Cheers -

Tim

Hi Phil,
first let me say that in my opinion you have done a very nice job...! I like your paint job , your chipping tech , and also the subtle weathering (...i would just add a bit more of sandy tones here and there but its just myy rookie opinion...ehehe ) . The only thing is the un-alignment of the sides skirts...and also a bit more of scratches on the gun mantlet , that looks really "clean" to me...
I think you have done also a nice job on the commander figure ( do you have some closer pictures of him...? ) .
Overall a nice model , and a good source of inspiration also because the Tiger will be my next project ...
Keep up the good work , and very very welcome on Armorama...!

Ciao,
Alex.

Thanks Allex, I definitely need to revisit the side skirts and sort out the alignment. The figure is from Alpine and was fantastic to paint, I'll re-align the skirts and get some decent shots of the commander and repost. Thanks again

Thanks Tim, you're right I was using PE and super glue for the first time and I have to say the PE was a very steep learning curve, especially the tool clamps and padlocks. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Thanks Al, I have had some difficulty getting the right balance with my new camera, but I will get there in the end. You are right the side skirt is out of alignment by a country mile, I'm definitely going to have to have a go at fixing it and maybe bash it up a bit. Thanks for taking the time to give feedback.

Phil looks good except for what was already mentioned. What kit did you use and what did you use for the netting on the barrel. NIce job overall.

Thanks James, for the netting I used a piece of medical gauze with diluted pva brushed on and then stretched and teased out to make the holes more random in appearance.
