Excellent Review Pat!

Regarding the decal options - you're correct, the Fern-Leaf IS missing from 'Cricklade & the 3rd Hussar vehicles.

Hi Guys,

Pre ordered 2 . I contacted Tasca re the cost, and they came in at £36.00 ea including shipping and Paypal charge, which if you include the free kit is pretty good me thinks.

Great review, glad I have ordered two and as Alan has said the option to get the free kit per purchase is a nice bonus.

Nice review, Pat! Anyone know if the Alamein colors and markings were still current by the time the Brits were facing the Tiger battalions in Tunisia in early 1943? Looking for a Sherman to wreck for a NA dio.

The Tigers faced by the brits in Tunisia tended to be faced by the 1st Army Army Tank bdes with Churchills and very rarely by the Shermans and even rarer by 8th Army Shermans. Most of the Armour that they fought against was 1 Army who had mainly Crusaders, Churchills and Sherman III. The US also had engagements with Tigers so M3 and early M4 and M4A1 probably met them. It is highly unlikely that any 8th Army A1's did. DML do a very good Sherman III but unfortunately don't provide any 6 Armd Div markings just 9 AB parade markings.
Cheers

Guys, Christmas came early in Sydney. My M4A1 DV arrived on my desk yesterday but I was on holidays. First impressions are all I have time for at present but one thing to note is thsat the kit has a supplementary decal sheet that includes the NZ Div insignia for the 9 AB marking options. The tracks are DEFINATELY T41 despite the oh so knowledgeable Bloggers comments. They are not hybrid at all. The cast hull and turret have a finish perfect for a scale representation of US cast (again despite what the Blogger thinks. If I have one complaint it is the side rails for the Sunshade. The outer brackets for the upright poles of the Sunshade are not good. They are molded lumps of plastic and not hollow brackets. This is easily fixed though with a scalpel and some scrap brass.
DML will be really hard pressed to Better this kit but I sure their kit when it comes will be pretty special too.
Cheers

Hi Pat

Purchased the kit based on your review, just finished it and I have to say it has been the most enjoyable AFV build to date. This is a fantastic kit. Well done!
