I just got a 1/35 faun STL 56 for a good price of ebay. That I'm going to do. But would like to do a dio in bosina setting. What modern german stuff was used and was it mostly for the UN.
And did the faun only transport German stuff for the UN or did it transport everything that needed to be transported by the UN in Bosina.
I tried google it but it didn't really bring anything up any help would be great ly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
in bosnia, the germans troops are from IFOR or SFOR two missions from NATO and not from UNO
your Faun must be painted in three colors nato green, brown and black
the germans troops using ( armoured vehicule):marder1A3, fuchs, luchs, wiesel and leo 2A5, 2A6
If you want to painting your Faun in white UNO, you must be situed this in somalia, with fuchs, wiesel , pionierpanzer 1
(Sorry for my bad english)

The Franziska tractor is correct for Somalia......but the trailers that were used in Somalia were the version with less wheels......not the Trumpeter trailer.
You are correct that the Fauns did not arrive in Bosnia until after the UNPROFOR troops were long gone....not until SFOR.
I don't believe the Fauns were in Bosnia during IFOR as the German mandate during IFOR did not include the deployment of tanks....and movements were quite restricted for German troops during IFOR.....convoy escorts and limited patrolling.....the heaviest German AFVs during IFOR were the Luchs and Fuchs.
Were the Marders and Wiesels in Bosnia with SFOR?......or were they only deployed with KFOR in Kosovo in 1999?

Well....considering German troops aren't in combat operations with tanks anywhere I doubt it.....there are Bundeswehr troops in Afghanistan....and they do have Fuchs and Marders there....but I have not seen any images of tank transporters other than Canadian and Dutch.

Maybe a nice picture for a diorama could be this:
Source: wikipedia
It could be build from the Trumpeter Kit, as far as I can see. Trailer should be the correct one, Truck itself too.

It would make a great diorama but the tractor is the Elefant.....not the Franziska in the Trumpeter kit.
The most obvious difference is the Elefant has single headlights and the Franziska has dual headlights.
