I've started with the stowage on the two vehicles and this is what I have
done so far on the 250. A small bucket made from a thin sheet of
Evergreen and a bicycle from OKB Grigorov...
Hope you like it
Now today Sunday I feel it is finished so here are some more pics...
Best regards

Hej Sven-Åke
This looks really good!
And I must agree, the part on Beutebuckets and the SdkFF is splendid.
Just 1 little suggestion; please write your updates as a reply to the mainsunject. That way we can see the progress from start to finish without searching the entire forum.
Tack
Ron

It's quite a relief that there still is some humor in this business. Sometimes I feel that most
of the time spent is about counting rivets and being too serious. It's refreshing to be able
to have a good laugh sometimes.
It will be on display at C4, I promise. Not sure yet which class though. If I enter it in Diorama
I will have to fight with all the 1/35 scale guys and that will be really tough. I guess that is the
only option since it's a vignette and it has two vehicles on it which can not be judged separately.
We'll see which table it ends up on
Thanks Frank!!!

Thanks Mike!!!
I believe that with a few accessories and bits and pieces one can really
make such a vignette as this stand out quite a bit. Most accessories that
we find in 1/35 is also available for us small scale builders so it's just a
question of finding the stuff which is not always the easiest task...
The bicycle for instance is something very out of the ordinary and I have
like 5 or 6 sets of them which I will use as often as I can.
Take a look at Tracks and Troops, they have a lot of special stuff for us
smale scale builders...

Hey Sven,
It's nice to see your work again in the forums. As always, the work is superb and enjoyable to look at. I never thought you would opt to use aftermarket parts for the running gear and wheels but I also had a hard time building these parts in my own build. Yours came out better than mine. I just wish that I can easily get braille AM parts in the Philippines. It's usually becomes very expensive because of the shipping cost.
Anyway, glad to see your back in the saddle and with a vengeance.

Thank You Very Much Wanze!!!
Well normally I try to do my builds as much as possible out of the box but on the 250
I felt I couldn't do a good enough job with the supplied kit parts so I opted for resin
wheels and tracks and some scratchbuilt improvements.
I'm sorry to hear that you have trouble getting parts shipped to you for reasonable
costs. I guess it sometimes makes it hard to create the builds you want...
I get most of my stuff from Milan at Tracks and Troops but I as I live in Sweden the
shipping costs are lower than to the Philippines.
Thanks for your comments and good luck with your own builds!!!
Best regards

Excellent choice of subject matter. We don't see enough of this type of non-combat stuff.

Thanks Bill !!!
I think I made my last "action" dio when I was about 12 so after I started modelling again
a few years ago the desire to do this kind of stuff was more or less gone. I can't really
explain the reason but I guess first of all it's very hard to make an action scene realistic
when there should be a lot of movements and bullets flying all over the place. I am not
that skilled as a modeller to pull that off and secondly I feel that I can describe a laid back
scene much more accurately, I guess it suits my state of mind better... Well, anyway, I
might be stuck doing these kinds of vignettes and dios but I feel much more confident
doing them and showing a side of war that does not include blood is from my viewpoint
quite ok...
Really glad you like it
Thanks

Hi Sven-Ake,
Since I joined AA I always find your work extremely inspirational both in the subject choices as well as execution and composition. This one is no exception… You also make it look so easy – until I stop in my LHS and see how tiny those things actually are. This scale is off limits for my eyes and fingers but I nevertheless admire your artwork.
Keep them coming…

Thank You Very Much Alesh !!!
I know that many people gets put off once they see the size of the parts in these
small scale kits but with a little patience and time they are actually quite pleasant
to build. If one wants to go over the top and start to super detail them, well, that
is sometimes nerve wrecking even for me but anything is possible as long as
the will and inspiration is there...
Thanks for your kind words

Well, I think I've already said it elsewhere, but will re-iterate anyway: lovely work !
But please take care when using "Buckets of the Wehrmacht 1939-1945" as a reference; it has some notorious translation errors, so I would advice using the original: "Wannen des Wehrmacht 1939-1945".
(Can't find the link on IPMS Stockholm though. Can you give it ?)
Cheers
