Believe it..or not, I received one of these monsters today at our club meeting. I normally do not build anything other than Modern Armor/Aircraft and some Soviet WWII (GPW) kits.
Has anyone bothered to do a review yet? I'm intrested in the opinions of those who have it on hand. I was shocked that the tracks are rubber. Knowing nothing of the M16, did the real vehicle have rubber tracks (I know it sounds stupid)?

The tracks on all US halftracks were a cable-reinforced rubber band. There were no joints and no metal links. It was actually quite efficient and smooth, and allowed much higher speeds than link-type tracks used on other halftracks.
The weak point in the kits track is the joint, but if it is positioned at the top of the run, it might not be so visible.
