I would like to know if you would see a LVTP-7 with stowage covering the whole rear top area where the troop hatches are could they be covered over with stowage and gear? Or would they have to left clear?

I think just for safety they would have to be left clear. In all the pictures I've seen the packs for the troops in the back are strapped to the side.

No, the hatches are left clear of gear so they can be opened in an emergency for troop egresss.

Ok clear the hatches and atleast this time i have added tie downs to the gear and pakcs hanging from the side and top

Another question i am adding figures to my lav-25 and i am wondering if the commanders and drivers helmet should be camo or a solid color like gray?

The CVC (Combat Vehicle Crewman) helmet comes in dark green, some get painted sand or flat black as well, or have some crew applied artwork on them. Some crewmen cover them in cloth, camo helmet covers too. They would not normally be gray though.
