Hi guys,
I jsut recently finished some 1/35 scale figs and thought I'd share some of their pics with you guys. I'd love to hear any comments/advice you folks have
The 3/4 figure in black is from Tamiya, and the other is from DML (with a bit of modification to the arm to hold a map)
Cheers!
Alan

Thanks guys for the nice comments
I had to redo the pea cammo twice, as the 1st time the spots were way too big in scale.
I used Archer's Fine Transfers for the guy in black - so glad I don't have to paint in the lapel patches now LOL
Cheers!

They could easily be mistaken for larger scale figures.
Cheers

These two figures are well painted, you hit the pea camo spot on. But you did a good job on the black uniform too, it's very difficult to create depth in such black clothing.
There is only one minor thing : between the neck of the first (camo) soldier and the collar of his blouse I can see a dark line. When you lower the flesh tone of the neck, may be the problem is solved ? Congrats on these guys ! Greetz Guy.

Yep, you're right about the collar, Guy
I can see what you mean thanks I'll just extend the flesh paint a bit lower to cover it and hopefully it will cover it then.
Thanks too, Guy and John for the positive comments

Thanks for all the positive comments, guys
However, lets hear more negative criticisms That's the only way I can learn and improve on my figs heh
Anthony, it just takes a steady hand and a very pointy brush to paint details...oh and a magnifying glass (the kind you wear on yr head) for an old fart like me LOL
Of course, some of the details can be finished by using Archers' Transfers (the best looking decals in my humble opinion). I used them on the lapel badges for the fig in the black panzer uniform.
Cheers all and have a great weekend!

Hi Alan,
Very nice figures ! You particularly succeed in the pea camo.
and the dry transfer stay very natural.
One small comment. I know how it could be harrassing once the figure is finished to have this kind of comment, but on the second figures, the tamiya one, if were you I would replace the head. If you look at the cap, and that you compare to the cap of your first figures, you can see that 1) the black line is too much large, and 2) it disapears with no explanation just before the ears of the officer. You could take another head from the dragon tanker ace set (which were excellent) and replace it.
My 2 € comment
