Having followed a link to Mec Models I saw on here the other day, I just bought and received a couple of boxes of "Instant Jungle" and wanted to say what an amazing deal you get for your money (7.95 Euros)

You get:
A big bundle of dried roots;
Four small baggies containing; static grass, birch seed leaves, coarse cork granules, fine cork granules;
At least 50 assorted plastic aquarium plants - not the el-cheapo type either;
A bundle of dried seaweed, or some such plant;
A whole stack of Seafoam...
All in a box measuring a mighty 10 x 3 x 8 inches...

I am now thinking buying two boxes might have been overdoing it!
I'm now going to have to make alot of jungle...

Highly recommended...

Richard

Richard .... indeed a nice product .... but what was postage costs like. Parcels are only by TNT. Do you mind telling how much postage cost you to England?

Hi all,

Richard, thanks very much for the heads up, really appreciate it! And I’m very glad you liked your sets.
Unfortunately I didn’t forsee these sets would be this popular and they’re indeed out of stock for now. I am doing the best I can to put together new sets and these will be available within a few days.

Best regards
Mark

I'm looking forward to seeing your diorama Richard! I have been following your various threads which appear from time to time.

Personally, I prefer to get most of my Jungle diorama material from nature, I have a huge stash of roots, preserved ferns, weeds and moss plus natural seafoam which I find in huge volumes on the beach. It's a great way to keep active too, I probably spend a few hours each Saturday riding my bike or beach-combing looking for dio material!

Hi Ian and others,

Here is a type of fern that I have relatively easy access to. Each individual frond is about 4-5cm long.

If you would like me to send you some of these, please PM or email me.

That's a great specimen... I doubt I'll have much luck finding anything like that on Hampstead Heath!

Just remember if you are caught sending flora and fauna into another country the customs officers wont be happy with you.

I've had a few people from the UK asking me to post these ferns, I have advised them to check their custom laws beforehand. It appears some countries are more relaxed than others. I have a friend who bought some modelling lichen from an ebay seller in the UK, Australian customs seized it.

So if you would like some, be sure to check your custom laws first.
