Quick question again guys,
with regards to the badger 200 airbrush, is this able to do fine lines? Im considering buying an airbrush and its a choice between the badger 200 and badger 250. ive never used an airbrush but think i'll probably be better off with the 250.
Your thoughts on this please gentlemen.

Hi there
just to let you know i'm getting this information from my new badger catalog. I personaly don't have either airbrush.
Quote
Model 250 Single Action, External MIx, Bottom feed.
any job requiring a simple yet effective spray is easily completed by the model 250 series. The 250 is basic enough for children to use with minimal supervision, yet efficent enough for adult use.
End Quote
I think this one is for basic single color painting.. I do not think it will do fine lines.

Model 200 Single action, Internal mix series.
Badger's 200 series offers the ease of single action operation wile providing the fine spray pattern of internal mix paint atomization for professional results. Depressing the trigger releases a pre set amount of color which can be regulated by turning a needle adjustment screw at the back of the airbrush handle.. Once the desired paint flow is set the airbrush will maintain the preset spray pattern until the user choose to change it.
End Quote.
It also appears that the 200 gravity feed airbrush can be fitted with 2 needles. Fine neele claims its a pencil line to 2"
and medium needle claims its 1/32 to 2 1/2 inchs.
and remember a lot of times paint with depends on skill. I use the 175 double action and can't get really fine lines with it yet.. but I've also use the universial 360 double action and I can get fairly fine lines with it .
anyways that is the information i've found in the badger catalog..

Martin,
I have Badger 200 series airbrush and haven't found any problems with it. But if you feel that a 250 would do job you shoud get that. The 200 comes with a medium head. I do not know about the 250. You will need two heads anyway, a medium and a fine one, so do some research and see which setup is cheaper for you - 200 with additional fine head or 250 with additional head (medium or fine, depends on what the 250 comes with). Also, keep in mind what kind of painting you'll do the most. If your models require fine lines mostly and the 250 comes with a fine head, then go for 250. Good luck and happy modelling.
